Plant growth regulator on micro-sprinkler for mango `Palmer’ floral induction in Brazilian Semiarid

Application of the plant growth regulator paclobutrazol (PBZ) to aid mango floral induction has been widely performed by producers. However, its application done manually, resulting in low uniformity and losses with labor. The objective this study was adjust PBZ dose be applied via micro-sprinkler system for induction, indicating an efficient management ‘Palmer’ Brazilian semiarid. experiment conducted at Saúde Farm, located Petrolina-PE, Brazil. experimental design used randomized blocks, five doses PBZ, irrigation (T1 - 0.56; T2 1.12; T3 -1.68; T4 2.24; T5 2.80 g a.i. linear m-1 canopy) a conventionally (T0 canopy, manually broadcast), four replicates. variables analyzed were: photosynthesis rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration, leaf temperature, number length panicles, fruits per plant, average fruit weight, yield, pulp firmness, titratable acidity total soluble solids fruits. At (2.8 canopy), proved most way reduce conductance transpiration. 0.56 canopy promotes greater panicles yield mango.
